Tim Nuthall

Tim Nuthall is an organisational development consultant, facilitator and strategic adviser with almost 20 years’ experience helping organisations and leadership teams navigate growth, complexity and change.

Based in Paris and working with both UK and international clients, Tim specialises in supporting founders, CEOs and senior leadership teams as they evolve from entrepreneurial, founder-led organisations into more mature and sustainable enterprises. His work focuses on clarifying accountability, strengthening decision-making, developing leadership capability, and creating governance and operating models that enable organisations to scale without losing the energy and purpose that drove their early success.

Tim is known for his grounded, pragmatic approach. He combines honest challenge with thoughtful facilitation, helping leadership teams address issues that may be recognised but not openly discussed. His style creates the conditions for meaningful conversations, better decisions and lasting organisational change.

His recent consulting work has spanned organisational development, leadership effectiveness and strategic communications. He has advised the founder and CEO of a rapidly growing international non-profit, supporting leadership development, governance design and organisational transition through a period of significant growth. He has worked with conservation, campaigning and civil society organisations to define senior leadership roles, strengthen organisational structures, establish communication and advocacy functions, and develop clearer approaches to decision-making, accountability and governance.

Tim brings first-hand leadership experience from having led large, complex organisations himself. He spent almost a decade as Managing Director and later Executive Network Director of the Global Strategic Communications Council, helping to grow the organisation to more than 450 staff across over 40 countries. In 2023, he co-founded the Meliore Foundation. Earlier in his career, he led international communications strategy for the COP21 Paris climate conference and spent seven years with the UK Labour Party, including serving as Head of Press.

Tim’s work is underpinned by a belief that organisational structures are only effective when supported by strong relationships, healthy cultures and capable leadership. He helps organisations develop both, creating the foundations for sustainable performance and long-term impact.
