Our Philosophy

Shaw Concannon is often brought in at moments of crisis, conflict or organisational turbulence — when clarity, courage and deep relational skill are needed. We work alongside people to find creative ways to address working life challenges so that individuals, teams, organisations and systems can thrive. We support open and collaborative working cultures where diversity, curiosity and complexity can be embraced.

We support organisations to work well in complexity and crisis by making the invisible visible — surfacing the patterns, relationships and pressures that shape behaviour. We strengthen how people think and relate, supporting and enabling ethical, stable and connected ways of working that can be sustained in real organisational life. We develop productive relationships that enable collaborative partnerships within and across organisations at multiple levels.

We are informed by diverse interests in systems theory, systems psychodynamics, innovation, technology, design and psychoanalysis, and with a passion for life-long learning we bring energy and commitment to every project or role. We actively engage with difference and see diversity as a pre-requisite for creativity and innovation.

About Shaw Concannon

We bring decades of experience across organisational development, leadership, governance, conflict resolution, crisis management, public accountability and education.

Our approach draws on systems thinking, relational and group dynamics and a deep understanding of human behaviour in organisations, expressed in clear, everyday language. We create reflective, psychologically safe spaces where people can explore hidden patterns with curiosity, compassion and honesty.

As a partnership, we bring complementary strengths: Abi’s creative, 360° way of seeing connections and mapping organisational landscapes, and Helen’s ethical clarity, systems insight and grounded leadership in high stakes environments. Together, we help people think well, relate well and move thoughtfully through complexity with clarity, courage and humanity.
