Jennie McShannon
Jennie McShannon is an experienced coach, consultant and facilitator with 20+ years supporting organisations to lead, adapt and thrive. Her background spans senior leadership roles – including serving as a charity Chief Executive – and over a decade coaching and consulting to executive, clinical and commercial leaders through complexity, change and growth.
She works across sectors with NHS executive and clinical teams, entrepreneurs, legal professionals, government departments, charities and scale‑ups. She helps leaders and teams gain clarity, strengthen relationships, navigate conflict and make well‑judged decisions under pressure. Her style is grounded and practical: She creates space for reflection and insight, but always in service of identifying the right next step – whether that’s action or holding steady.
An accredited coach and coach supervisor, she trains new generations of organisational practitioners and has directed cohorts of the Tavistock’s Executive Coaching Programme, and taught on the Tavistock MA Systemic and Psychodynamic approaches to leadership and organisational life.
She has led major consultancy assignments, secured significant funding and delivered organisational transformation with a focus on sustainability, innovation and impact. Her work is rooted in systems thinking, which she’s taught across sectors for nearly two decades in Clore Social Leadership, Hyper-Island Marketing MA, Norfolk LEAAP, Ministry of Justice, Civil Service TMP, Systems Changers programme, and to scientific policy teams.
